ROOTMAX™
Professional Blueberry Pot
Maximum Root Development. Maximum Yield.
Developed for professional blueberry cultivation, ROOTMAX™ optimizes root health, increases yield, and ensures sustainable performance in commercial production thanks to its advanced air pruning and drainage technology.
The multiple drainage channels on the bottom and sides of the pot ensure that excess water drains quickly. This feature minimizes problems such as root rot, fungal infections, and oxygen deprivation, which are common in blueberry cultivation.
Thanks to the ventilated pot design, there is constant air circulation in the root zone. This prevents the roots from becoming tangled inside the pot, encourages the growth of lateral roots, and increases the plant’s ability to absorb nutrients.
The pot body is thick and durable. It does not deform under greenhouse conditions, in open areas, or during transport. Its stackable design makes it convenient for both use and storage.
Durable and Reusable;
planters are designed to be reusable. They are washable, easy to clean, and can be safely used across different growing seasons. This supports a sustainable production approach and reduces costs in the long term.
Technical Specifications
-
Thanks to side slots (Air Pruning), the roots come into contact with the air and are naturally pruned.
-
The advanced drainage system design features bottom and side openings that ensure rapid drainage of excess water. It prevents roots from becoming waterlogged.
-
The square-shaped design ensures stable placement in a plantation layout, prevents it from toppling over in the wind, and provides maximum stability against field conditions.
-
The X- and grid-supported base reinforcement evenly distributes the substrate load.
-
The planter is raised off the ground. This improves air circulation and drainage.
-
Mounting brackets are available for drip lines and wire training systems.
-
Made from recyclable materials; durable, for industrial use.
-
A reinforced top edge that reduces the risk of breakage during transport.

Standard Pots Limit Yield. ROOTMAX™ Increases Yield.
In traditional pots, roots eventually grow in a spiral pattern, which restricts water and nutrient uptake.
The ROOTMAX™ system, however, naturally guides the roots to promote the formation of a uniform, healthy root system.

Frequently Asked Questions by Professional Producers
-
RootMax prevents roots from spiraling around inside the pot through air pruning (air pruning) principle. In standard pots, roots eventually wrap around themselves, leading to root binding (root-bound). This condition severely limits the plant’s ability to absorb water and nutrients.
RootMax, on the other hand, encourages continuous root branching, resulting in a denser, healthier, and more active root system. This directly leads to increased yields.
-
Yes, with the right growing medium and proper watering management, the RootMax system significantly reduces root entanglement.
Thanks to the special air channels on the surface of the pot, root tips stop growing when they come into contact with air, and lateral root formation begins. This prevents spiral root formation inside the pot.
-
RootMax pots deliver maximum performance, especially when used with substrates that offer high drainage and aeration.
Recommended mixtures:
Cocopeat-based mixtures
Perlite + peat combinations
Professional blueberry growing media (LEGRO Substrate)
Heavy soils with low permeability reduce the system's efficiency.
-
Yes. RootMax pots are made from UV-resistant, modified polymer material.
It retains its shape in outdoor applications exposed to prolonged sunlight, with minimal risk of breakage or deformation.
-
When used properly, RootMax pots can last for many years.
Since it is designed with industrial production in mind, it is suitable for multi-season use rather than just a single season. This also reduces the investment cost.
-
Yes. RootMax pots are fully compatible with drip irrigation and automatic irrigation systems.
In fact, when used in conjunction with controlled irrigation, root development becomes much more stable and robust.
-
RootMax system:
Promotes uniform plant growth
Reduces yield losses caused by root-related issues
Standardizes harvest quality
This provides a significant operational advantage, particularly for businesses engaged in commercial production.
-
No. RootMax pots can be easily integrated into standard production processes.
It does not require any special equipment. With the right substrate and watering schedule, it can be established quickly.
-
The pots are made of a flexible polymer material that is resistant to impact. When shipped with proper packaging, the risk of deformation is very low.
